Thank you, Lea!
Thank you, thank you, thank you to our wonderful Library Director, Lea Sutton. After two years of fostering our community’s appreciation for good books and good company, Lea has decided she’s ready for retirement. Sort of. She has quite a long list of mostly fun things she plans to dive into, including a stack of books she hasn’t had time to read. If you belong to our book club, you’ll get to visit with her every month, and we’re hoping that once she settles down a bit from the joy of no longer working, we can entice her to volunteer every now and then. Again, thank you, Lea, for the many gifts you brought to our library and to each one of us.
Assistant Librarian Diane Atwood will be our new Director. Diane has lived in North Gorham since 1982 and became a library patron soon after moving into the neighborhood. Books and libraries have always played an important part in her life and she is excited about her new role.
The picture of Lea (L) and Diane (R) was taken by library volunteer Anastasia Sawchuk at Lea’s going away party.
