When is the library open?

How do I get a library card?
- Come into the library to fill out a brief application, and we’ll give you a card. It’s free, even if you don’t live in Gorham or Standish.
What if you don’t have the book I want?
- We can try to order it for you through the Interlibrary Loan Service.
Do you charge for overdue books?
- No, but we do ask that you renew after 14 days. Please send us an email or call us at (207) 892.2575. If we don’t answer, leave us a message.
Do you have a story hour?
- Indeed, we do! Every Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 Paula Boyce has a story and much more. Check out the story and activities she’ll be offering each week in What’s Happening, on our Events calendar, or on our Facebook page.
Do you have wi-fi?
- Yes, we have free wi-fi, as well as a laptop available to the public
Is food allowed in the library?
- Yes, and we also have free tea and instant coffee.
Do you have a holiday and bad weather policy?
- Yes, you can read it here. If we close because of bad weather, we’ll do our best to post it on our Facebook page.
Do you have a volunteer program?
- We do and appreciate our volunteers very much. Send us an email, give us a call, or stop in if you’d like more information.
