Story Hour

At Story Hour this week, it’s all about snails and their mucus, so snails are what they’re going to make, says Claire. First, they’ll read Snails Are Just My Speed by Kevin McCloskey. Then, she’ll hand out paper plates cut in the shape of a snail. The children will attach the antennae and decorate their snails using crayons, washable markers, stickers, paint sticks, and glitter. Claire is excited to report that she found some small containers with very small holes for the glitter, making them easier for small hands to use.
