For this week’s Story Hour, Paula will read Pinkalicious, a book about cherry blossoms. Afterward, the children will glue pieces of tissue paper onto a little twig to make their own three-dimensional cherry blossom. Wednesday, May 14th, from 10:30 to 11:30.
Our new After Work Book Club will hold its first meeting in the library on Wednesday, May 8, from 5 pm to 6 pm. The group is reading Razorblade Tears by S. A. Cosby. We have copies at the library if you need one, but you are welcome to join even if you have not read the book. You will need a library card to become a member, but we can do that at no charge when you arrive (even if you are not a Gorham resident).
At Story Hour this week, Paula will read The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister. After that, they’ll make their own beautiful, shiny-scaled fish. Story Hour is from 10:30 to 11:30 on Wednesday, April 30, in the library.
Our Monday morning Book Club is reading Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese this month. They will meet in the library on Monday, April 21, from 11:00 to noon. You are welcome even if you haven’t read the book.
Paula is reading Mucky Truck, a story about a truck stuck in the mud that gets some help from a fire truck. Two firefighters from our community will stop by to talk to the kids about their jobs, pass out fire hats, and show them the inside of a fire truck. Wednesday, April 16 10:30 to 11:30.
