Black History Month
Black History Month is an annual celebration of African American life, history, and culture. This year’s theme is “African Americans and Labor”. For more information, visit asalh.org (Association for the Study of African American Life and History). And stop by the library to browse some of the books we have on display to commemorate the month.
Story Hour/February 5
For Story Hour this week, Paula will read “Book, Book, Book” by Deborah Bruss. It’s a story about some bored barnyard animals who decide to visit the library! Wednesday morning, February 5th from 10:30 to 11:30.

Snow and winter fun. That’s what Paula will be reading about at this week’s Story Hour.

Story Hour/January 22
Paula will read Building a House by Byron Barton at Story Hour this Wednesday. Then the kids will start building all sorts of things using plastic cups, spaghetti, and Cheerios! That’s happening tomorrow, January 22 from 10:30 to 11:30.
Story Hour/January 15
Giraffes can’t dance! Or can they?! At Story Hour today, Paula will read Giraffes Can’t Dance by Giles Andreae. The children will create their own dancing giraffes and maybe do some themselves. Wednesday, January 15 from 10:30 to 11:30.
Book Club
For Book Club this month, the group is reading Any Bitter Thing by Monica Wood. The next Book Club will meet at the North Gorham Public Library on Monday, January 27 from 11:00 to noon.
