DESCRIPTION:At our summer reading program last week\, the children learned all about trees — their parts\, the different ways we use trees\, and how important they are for the environment. Afterward\, everyone went outside and found bark peelings\, seeds\, pine needles\, leaves\, ferns\, and more. Back inside\, they used them to make beautiful crayon rubbings. \n\n\n\nThis week\, authors Susan and Randy Lynn Cassidy will read from their book Ladybugs and Ellie Go Camping. It’s a story\, camping safety reminders\, and fun activities all in one. Then they’ll make a fake campfire and sing real campfire songs AND eat S’mores trail mix!
