SUMMARY:After Work Book Club
DESCRIPTION:Our new After Work Book Club will hold its first meeting in the library on Wednesday\, May 8\, from 5 pm to 6 pm. The group is reading Razorblade Tears by S. A. Cosby. We have copies at the library if you need one\, but you are welcome to join even if you have not read the book. You will need a library card to become a member\, but we can do that at no charge when you arrive (even if you are not a Gorham resident).  \n\n\n\n\nIke Randolph has been out of jail for fifteen years\, with not so much as a speeding ticket in all that time. But a Black man with cops at the door knows to be afraid. \n\n\n\nThe last thing he expects to hear is that his son Isiah has been murdered\, along with Isiah’s white husband\, Derek. Ike had never fully accepted his son but is devastated by his loss. \n\n\n\nDerek’s father Buddy Lee was almost as ashamed of Derek for being gay as Derek was ashamed of his father’s criminal record.
