DESCRIPTION:Springtime in North Gorham means it’s time for the library’s annual Book & Plant Sale on Saturday\, June 1 from 9 to 1.  \n\n\n\nWe welcome any donations you might have. Drop off books anytime the library is open or if you only have a few\, put them in our front door book drop. We accept all books in decent condition except for encyclopedias\, textbooks\, annual yearbooks\, and Reader’s Digest condensed books.  \n\n\n\nPlants can be put in front of the library where the pavement begins. If there’s no room\, you can put them in the parking space to the right of the library. If you know the name of the plant please add a label. We can also dig your plants up for you. Feel free to reach out to us by email or leave a message at 892-2575. \n\n\n\nThis year we’ll have an added attraction — an art exhibit inside the library curated by the Lakes Region Senior Center Painting Studio.

It was also named one of the Ten Best Books of the Year. The book chronicles a young slave’s journey as she makes a desperate bid for freedom in the antebellum South. \n\n\n\nThe Book Club will meet at North Gorham Library on Monday\, June 24 from 11 to noon. You are welcome to participate even if you haven’t read the book.
